Paris Saint Germain winger, Neymar, is still on crutches over two weeks after damaging his ankle ligament during a league game in November.

Recall that on November 28, 2021, Neymar had to be substituted in the 88th minute during a league game between PSG and Saint-Etienne.

During the league game, Saint-Etienne’s defender Yvann Macon attempted to tackle Neymar but he missed both the ball and the player. Unfortunately for the 29-year-old Brazilian left-winger, he stepped on Macon’s ankle and twisted his own in the process.

Hence, he had to be sidelined for 8 weeks to recuperate. The PSG star had to travel to Doha, Qatar to rehab his left ankle injury at the Aspetar clinic.

Neymar who joined PSG from FC Barcelona in 2017 has been a frequent patient at the clinic for over four years. His recent visit to the clinic made it the 6th time that he had to visit the clinic for rehabilitation.

He returned to Paris this week but is still on crutches which means that he is still battling to recover from the injury.

On Wednesday, December 15, 2021, Neymar took to his Instagram story to share a picture showing former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, former PSG midfielder, Nene, and himself.

Before now, the 29-year-old winger who has missed four club games since he sustained the injury has posted clips on Instagram to show his followers how he has been battling to recover from the injury.

In his most recent Instagram clip, Neymar could be seen working out in the gym and walking off on crutches.

All things being equal, the football star is expected to be fully fit in February 2022. By then, he will have less than four seasons left on his contract with PSG.

Unlike Neymar that have played 14 games in all competitions this season and has scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists, Sergio Ramos is yet to make an appearance for PSG since he left Real Madrid last summer.

However, the 35-year-old Spanish defender is expected to play for the French Ligue 1 club on Sunday, December 19 against SC Feignies if the club’s coach deems him fit for the game.
