Manchester United and England defender Luke Shaw has revealed who he believes is the strongest player in the club’s dressing room. As a shocking surprise to many, Shaw names midfielder and Scotland international Scott McTominay.

The United defender was questioned on several teammates who were compared to their rating on popular football game FIFA 20. When asked which player has the highest rating for strength on FIFA and in the dressing room, the 24-year-old said:

“Scotty. Scott McTominay,” but was shocked to learn that he was wrong.”

The England international said he was shocked to see FIFA 20 didn’t place the Scotland midfielder as the first choice. Shaw also decided to poke some fun at his teammate and his physique stating Scott is in love with his appearance.

“Yeah maybe. He’s quite tall and strong he can use his arms. He’s big. He loves the gym to be honest. He’s always in the gym and loves looking at himself in the mirror so that’s why I’d put him down as the strongest” Shaw said.

“He does it as a joke obviously but secretly he loves his body. I would have said him” Shaw added.

Shaw also answered a question on the ongoing pace rivalry between Daniel James and Marcus Rashford. Back in January the Welshman challenge the English international to a race stating he could beat Rashford. Shaw has now revealed the topic of the fastest pace always causes arguments between the squad. The defender also revealed to hash things out, once and for all, a race has been planned to find out the true winner, but due to an injury for Marcus Rashford the plans were scrapped.

Shaw said: “This one is funny because there is always arguments about this. The lads are always bickering about who is quicker. We were all going to have a 100m race one time but we decided it wouldn’t be a good idea in case someone pulls up. I was going to say Rashy but Daniel James.”

“I think Jamo would pip Rashy but they’re both very quick. James’ pace is unbelievable he’s so quick” Shaw added.

Meanwhile, United drew 1-1 to Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday. The Red Devils are currently in fifth-place and are currently three points adrift fourth-place Chelsea.
