Christian Eriksen suffered a horrific heart attack during the EURO 2020 match against Finland. Eriksen fell on his face near the corner side of Finland’s half of the field. Some players saw him and rendered help right away, luckily, he survived it and had a defibrillator installed in his heart to keep him alive. However, his football club, Inter Milan says that Christain Erikson cannot play with the heart starter implant in his heart. As a result, it must be removed before he can play football for the team again.

Christian Eriksen must have heart restarter (Defibrillator ) removed before he could play for Inter Milan again. Recall that The Denmark player suffered a horrific heart attack on National TV.

Christian Eriksen will NOT be allowed to play for Inter Milan unless he has his heart-starting device removed, says the chief Italian medic. Eriksen underwent surgery to fit an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) a few days after suffering cardiac arrest. As of now, the star midfielder is not eligible to play in Italy’s top-flight ahead of the new season.

Inter Milan football club is based in Italy, a country that has a ban in place for any player that has heart issues. This ban includes both amateur or top club footballers.

A statement from the Danish FA read: “Christian Eriksen has been through a successful operation and was today discharged from Rigshospitalet. Today he also visited the national team in Helsinger and from there he will go home and spend time with his family.”

“Francesco Braconaro, a member of the Italian FA’s technical-scientific committee, revealed the Danish footballer must have the defibrillator removed to play in Italian football again, as it will show he has no further heart problems” – Daily Mail.
