Euro 2020 group stage is finally over and the men have been separated from the boys as far as the group rankings are concerned. The 16 teams that made it to the next stage have been named and the teams that they will play against have also been named.
Below are the winners of each group in Euro 2020 and the runners up
Italy won Group A with 9 points in three games and the runners-up are Wales who recorded 4 points in three games. Though Switzerland finished third in the group, they were one of the best losers who scaled through to the round of 16 with 4 points.
In Group B, Belgium finished the group stage as the group leaders with 9 points in three games. The runners-up of the group are Denmark with three points in three games.
Netherlands finished top of Euro 2020 Group C with 9 points in three games. Austria finished second with 6 points in three games. While Ukraine that finished third with three points in three games made it to the round of 16 as one of the best losers.
In Group D, England finished as the group leaders with 7 points in three games. They were followed by Croatia that had 4 points in three games. While the Czech Republic made it to the round of 16 as one of the best losers with four points in three games.
Sweden stunned the football world by finishing first in Euro 2020 Group E that has the likes of Spain and Poland. Sweden recorded 7 points in three games while the second runners up, Spain managed to have five points in three games. Robert Lewandowski could not do much for Poland as they finished at the bottom of the group with just a point.
While in Group F, France fought hard enough to finish as the group leaders with 5 points in three games. Germany also fought until the last minute to finish second with four points in three games. Portugal were lucky enough to have four points in three games which made them one of the best losers.
