Arsenal vs Manchester United is the biggest Premier League fixture this weekend and it is a test for the two clubs that have shown great promise in the last 10 league games. The match is scheduled to take place at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, January 30, at 18:30.

Though 9th placed Arsenal are just 10 points away from second-placed Manchester United, the Premier League fixture is expected to be an explosive encounter that will produce at least two goals.

Arsenal are going into the game after a sweet 3-1 away victory over Southampton. While Manchester United are going into the game after a disappointing 2-1 defeat in the hands of lowly rated Sheffield United.

In the last 13 Premier League games, Manchester United proved unbeatable as they maintained an unprecedented unbeaten run which drove them straight to the top of the league table. However, Sheffield United denied Manchester United the chance to remain at the top spot of the league table on Wednesday, January 27.

The interesting part is that, before Manchester United started enjoying their 13 league matches unbeaten run, the last team that defeated them was Arsenal. Recall that the Gunners visited Old Trafford on November 1 to play United and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s 69th-minute spot-kick was all Arsenal needed to claim the maximum three points.

With that still fresh in the mind of Manchester United’s coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, today’s Arsenal vs Manchester United league match might not be as easy as the first fixture played in November.

Arsenal’s coach, Mikel Arteta, is expected to see a very fierce Manchester United side that would want nothing less than a victory. But the unpredictability of the current Arsenal’s squad might prove difficult for United to grab the maximum three points.

Arsenal football club might likely have the club’s captain Aubameyang available for today’s game. The striker has been absent from the team because he has been away taking care of his sick mother.
The 31-year-old Gabon international returned to his base in London during the week and coach Mikel Arteta has hinted that he might be ready enough to face United.

More so, Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe may be fit enough ahead of Arsenal vs Manchester United game tonight. The two players sustained minor knocks during Arsenal’s league match against Southampton a few days ago.

Mikel Arteta would hope that Kieran Tierney could be fit enough for the game. But the possibility of that happening is very high since he has resumed training. He has been battling with a leg injury.

The good news is that Arsenal’s new signing Martin Odegaard is fully available for the game and the club’s fans will be looking forward to seeing him play a part in tonight’s game. Also, Dani Ceballos and Pablo Mari might be available for tonight’s game.

On the other hand, Manchester United’s Eric Bailly is likely to be fit for tonight’s game. He missed United’s 2-1 defeat in the hands of Sheffield United due to an injury. If he is not fit enough for the game, Victor Lindelof will likely take his place. Besides that, Manchester United has no injury worries.

Edinson Cavani is likely to take the place of Anthony Martial who has been under criticism for his poor run of games.

Arsenal possible starting lineup:
