Manchester City star Jack Grealish has aimed a swipe at online trolls after the shock death of popular UK singer Liam Payne.

Payne, who was a renowned UK hip-hop star died mysteriously in Argentina on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

His death came after new photographs captured him during a surprise 30-minute-long encounter with fans in a hotel. Shortly after, he fell 45ft from a third-floor balcony.

His body was found next to a lighter, a whiskey bottle, and a mobile phone, with police now working on a theory he had experienced ‘some type of outbreak’ before his death.

According to close sources, Liam Payne’s final messages before his death showed the singer battled an emotional breakdown after he was dropped by his record label Universal Music. He had worked with the music company for eight years before he was dropped.

Further details on Payne’s shock demise showed he was drunk before falling off the storey building.

A desk manager at the Hotel where he fell reportedly alerted the authorities to a guest ‘on drugs and alcohol breaking everything in his room.’

“He’s in a room with a balcony and we’re afraid that he could do something that threatens his life,” the guest complained to the police on call.

Emergency services, Payne was found with ‘serious injuries’ and was confirmed dead a few minutes later.

Another renowned UK singer, Robbie Williams, dropped emotion-laden lines, mourning the passing of Liam Payne. Williams’ tributes read;

“I still had my demons at 31,” he continued. “I relapsed. I was in pain. I was in pain because I relapsed. I relapsed because of a multitude of painful reasons.

“I remember Heath Ledger passing and thinking ‘I’m next’.’ By the grace of god and/or dumb luck, I’m still here.”

Commiserating on the passing of Liam Payne, Jack Grealish initially wrote on Instagram,

“Awhhh no [crying emoji]. This is so sad man!! So so sad!! RIP Liam Payne. Have to start being nicer to each other in this world man.”

He also leveraged the chance to blast online trolls who target celebrities. Quoting a Robbie Williams excerpt, he wrote;

“We don’t know what is going on in people’s lives; what pain they are going through and what makes them behave in the way that they behave.

“Before you type anything on the internet, have a think, “Do I really need to publish this?” Because that is what you are doing. You are publishing your thoughts for anybody to read.

“Even if you don’t think that celebrities and their families exist. They fucking do. Skin and bone and are sensitive.”

Jack Grealish’s comment is a subtle indictment of unfair media criticisms. In 2022, the footballer hit out on popular English pundit Graeme Souness for “always having something to say about me” after the latter criticized his slow start to life at Manchester City.

He also lashed out at the English media, saying he would prefer them to “leave me alone.” The footballer ensured he re-echoed his call for understanding and empathy following the death of Liam Payne.
