Manchester City and Norwegian forward Erling Haaland is leading the list of footballers with the highest increase in market value in 2024.

With the 2024-25 Premier League underway, periodic jumps and falls in the footballers’ market are expected based on their proficiency in the field and relevance in their squads.

Haaland is gracefully acing it following his standout outing for Manchester City. It can be rightly said that no other Premier League footballer has had a great start this season than the Norwegian.

Erling Haaland Premier League

Haaland only failed to score this season in Manchester City’s 3-2 win over Fulham on Saturday, October 5, 2024. He scored 10 goals in his first six matches, including back-to-back hat-tricks.

According to Transfermarkt, Haaland’s market value has soared astonishingly. Before the start of the 2024-25 Premier League, his market value stood at €180m. At the time of this report, it has soared to €200m.

Jhon Duran second behind Erling Haaland, hits new milestone after Aston Villa heroics

After Erling Haaland, Aston Villa star Jhon Duran is the second player that has gained the most in terms of market value. Before the start of the season, Duran’s transfer value was pecked at a meager €20m. Now, he has gained an additional €15m, taking his transfer value to €35m. The increase in Jhon Duran’s market value is not a surprise.

The Colombian has been a game-changer for Aston Villa. He has struggled to break into Unai Emery’s Aston Villa setup but has established himself as a game-changer for the Villains. He has scored four Premier League goals in six matches, all coming from the bench. His most notable performance was scoring the match-winner against Bayern Munich in the Aston Villa Champions League matchday two clash.

Brighton duo Yakuba Minteh and Rutter record massive gains

Gambian attacking midfielder Yakuba Minteh is among the biggest gainers. Minteh began the campaign as a €16m-rated footballer. He has now gained €12m on his value, taking his total value to €28m. Minteh has made six Premier League appearances for Brighton this season. His Brighton teammate Georgino Rutter has also seen his transfer value soar from €18m to €28m after five appearances with the club this season with a goal.

Cole Palmer now valued at €90m

Cole Palmer is among the top 10 gainers in market value. The Manchester City academy graduate has continued his heroics for Chelsea after joining last season.

At the start of the campaign, Palmer’s market value was pecked at €80m but has now increased to €90m, per Transfermarkt. Six matches into the season, Palmer has already been involved in 10 of Chelsea’s goals. He scored six goals, including a four-goal haul in the 6-2 thrashing of Wolves. His assists count so far this season is four.

Other Premier League footballers with increased market value

Former Chelsea U-21 star Omari Hutchinson is another top gainer in the Premier League marketplace. The Ipswich Town forward’s transfer value has kicked from €7m to €18, marking a €11m increase. He has started all of Ipswich’s seven Premier League matches this season, providing one assist.

Bournemouth attacking midfielder Antoine Semenyo is another big gainer. Semenyo has been key in Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth this season. He has recorded four goal involvements, comprising three goals and one assist in seven matches. Initially valued at €10m, his current market value stands at €20m, reflecting a 100% increase.

Wilson Odobert is another player who has witnessed a surge in his transfer value. The Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder has recorded an 80% increase in his market value from €10m to €18m. He has, however, managed only three Premier League appearances for Spurs.

Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers’current transfer value stands at €22m from €15m. He has recorded a €7m increase on his transfer value following a goal and two assists in his six matches for the Villains.

English footballer and Ipswich Town star Liam Delap has also gained €7m from €8m to €15m. Delap is Ipswich Town’s top scorer with four goals in his first seven matches for the club. Below is the full list of top 10 gainers in the Premier League footballers’ transfer value
