Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has taken to social media to deny false reports surrounding his relationship with 23-year-old Sophia Schneiderhan.

The 48-year-old German football legend has threatened to pursue legal action against those spreading rumors that Schneiderhan was his late son Emilio’s ex-girlfriend.

Ballack who was known for his passing range and powerful shot clarified on his Instagram, stating that his girlfriend had no connection whatsoever with his late son.

Ballack affirmed: “My life partner Sophia is neither my late son’s ex-girlfriend nor was she friends with him. We will take legal action against these untruths and ask that you respect our privacy.”

The rumors emerged after Ballack was spotted with Schneiderhan in public and posted pictures of the pair on social media.

Michael Ballack and Sophia Schneiderhan’s relationship began after Emilio’s tragic death in a quad biking accident in Lisbon in 2021.
