Inter Miami attacker Lionel Messi scored his 841st career goal in Inter Miami 1-1 draw against Charlotte in the Major League Soccer on September 28, 2024, at Chase Stadium in America.

Even though Messi’s goal marked another incredible achievement in his career, it was not enough to secure a three-point for the Eastern Conference leader of Major League Soccer. 

The Charlotte side went ahead in the 56th minute via a Karol Åšwiderski shot. The player’s attempt on goal left Inter Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender helpless.

Messi came to his team’s rescue after his shot on goal from outside Charlotte’s box went into the bottom corner in the 66th minute.

Inter Miami have played three matches in a row without a single win. The Inter Miami side need to start picking up three points to avoid losing their position at the top of the table to Columbus Crew. 

The Columbus Crew team are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference table with 57 points and a match to play compared to Inter Miami, that have 65 points from 31 matches.
