Jhon Duran has overthrown Erling Haaland, Luiz Diaz, and others as the best Premier League player on goal-per-minute ratio statistics.

The Colombian is the only player who has effectively rivaled the Norwegian’s scary scoring ratio, even though he has only been limited to appearances off the bench this season. The 20-year-old has made the most of the minutes he has gotten, scoring four times in five appearances off the bench.

Erling Haaland might not worry about the youngster surpassing him on the goal-per-minute ratio rankings. The Manchester City star ranks supreme on the league’s top goalscorer chart with his ten goals in five games played.

Jhon Duran

However, Jhon Duran still has some bragging rights over the Norwegian. The goal-per-minute ratio is a superior stat, considering it indicates the level of impact a player can have within a short time.

Let’s look at the Premier League stars who have been able to get on the scoresheet nearly every time they play in the 2024-2025 season:

John Duran

Jhon is top of the leaderboard for now. The Colombian signed for Aston Villa in the January transfer window from MLS club Chicago Fire.

He has gone on to be a key part of the Unai Emery system and has featured 56 times for Aston Villa. He has 13 goals for the club.

This season, Jhon Duran has featured in five league games for Aston Villa, scoring four times also, all as a substitute. The forward has a frightening goal-per-minute ratio, scoring every 33 minutes he spends on the pitch.

Erling Haaland

Erling is regarded as one of the best strikers in the Premier League and Europe.

The Norwegian has been scoring for fun in England, since making the switch from Borussia Dortmund two years ago. He has notched up 100 goals in just 105 appearances for the Pep Guardiola side, with only footballing great Cristiano Ronaldo matching the striker’s scoring rate.

He hasn’t relented this season either. So far, he has reigned supreme at the top of the Premier League goal-scoring chart with ten goals in just five appearances. The City star’s goal-per-minute-ratio stands at 45. That is, he scores at least a goal every 45 minutes.

Luis Diaz

Luis Diaz is another Colombian who has made this list. The Liverpool winger has had his best-ever start to a league season in England.

Since coming to the Premier League four seasons ago, the pacy winger has on only one occasion scored more than five Premier League goals, and that took him 37 league appearances to do last season when he scored eight.

However, this season, it has taken the Colombian only five games to score five league goals and he looks to surely set a new personal best in the Premier League. The 27-year-old’s goal-per-minute ratio is 1:72 (one goal every 72 minutes).

Harvey Barnes

The ex-Leicester man has started the season brilliantly for Newcastle.

He joined from the Foxes last season to bolster Eddie Howe’s side’s attacking rank, and he’s looking to be worth the money with his performances so far this season.

He has featured five times for the Toons in the league this season and has found the back of the net on three occasions. Also, he boasts an impressive 1:83 goal-per-minute ratio.

Nicolas Jackson

Nicolas Jackson seems to be picking up lately with prolific goal-scoring stats. The Senegalese has shown glimpses of the striker he could be to the Chelsea fans since joining two seasons ago.

This season, only Erling Haaland and Luis Diaz have scored more goals in the Premier League than Nicolas Jackson. He has netted four goals in five appearances and boasts a 1:92 goal-per-minute ratio.
