    Erik ten Hag has labeled Marcus Rashford as a “class player” following the Englishman’s recent upturn in form.

    Ten Hag expressed that Rashford understands when he is struggling to deliver top performances and how to return to top shape.

    Erik ten Hag also shared that Marcus Rashford has taken necessary measures to get back to his best.

    The Dutchman further stressed that Rashford must continue in his rich vein of form and tagged him “a class player”.

    Speaking in a pre-match presser ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, on September 21, 2024, the former Ajax boss said:

    “Marcus Rashford knows when there are setbacks how to get fightback, how to set his career, his performance.

    “He took control of it and so he is on the way back. He has started the season very good now he has to continue and to progress. He’s a class player”.

    Additionally, Ten Hag touched on the “lifestyle” of Rashford and indicated that he feels the England international is quite aware of the importance of it.

    The 54-year-old said: “I think he always knew, and every player knows how important lifestyle is. When your lifestyle is not right you can’t perform.”

    Erik ten Hag added that a player doesn’t get to the needed levels when they aren’t quite disciplined.

    He stated: “You don’t get the right levels when you don’t have a good and disciplined life away from Carrington.”

    Recall in January 2024, Rashford faced disciplinary action when he was dropped for Manchester United’s FA Cup fourth-round tie against Newport County, after taking an unauthorized trip to Belfast.
