Premier League Matchday: Everton Lose 2 Goals Lead As They Concede Three Goals in Nine Minutes Against Bournemouth, See Other Results

During Matchday 3 of the 2024-2025 Premier League season, Everton failed to secure a win against Bournemouth even though they were leading 2-0 in the 87th minute of the match.

The Merseyside club conceded three goals in nine minutes against the Bournemouth side, while Brentford and Aston Villa secured a convincing win simultaneously.

Brentford 3-1 Southampton

Brentford went ahead in the 42nd minute of the game through Bryan Mbeumo, who pounced on a rebound and tapped in from the near post after Kevin Schade’s attempt hit the crossbar.

Interestingly, Mbeumo scored the second goal for Brentford in the 64th minute of the game.

However, Southampton made a horrible mistake trying to play from the back. Consequently, Brentford players took advantage of that and gave the ball immediately to Mbeumo, who wasted no time in converting the chance.

Yoane Wissa scored the third goal of the game for the Bees in the 69th minute to end Southampton’s hope of securing something from the game.

Yugawara scored in the 94th minute of the game for Southampton to make the score line more respectable.


Everton 2-3 Bournemouth 

Everton found the breakthrough in the second half of the match against Bournemouth through Michael Keane, who scored an excellent goal against Kepa Arrizabalaga in the 50th minute of the game.

Also, Calvert-Lewin, who created an assist for Keane for Everton’s first goal, scored the second goal of the match against Bournemouth.

Afterward, Calvert-Lewin had a one-on-one situation with Kepa, and he lifted the ball beyond the goalkeeper’s reach to extend Everton’s lead.

Semenyo started the comeback against Everton. He scored in the 87th minute of the match. Cook scored the second goal in the match for Bournemouth.

Bournemouth star, Luis Sinisterra completed the comeback for the club after he was left unmarked in the 18-yard box.

Ipswich (1-1) Fulham

The home side went ahead in the 15th minute of the game with a beautiful shot from Liam Delap, who aggressively hit the ball from a distance.

Adama Traore scored the equaliser in the 32nd minute of the game after receiving a low cross from Robertson to give Fulham the hope of getting something from the match. 

Leicester City (1-2) Aston Villa

Amadou Onana scored in the 28th minute of the game. The Belgian international scored a tap-in for the Aston Villa team to put the Club ahead against Leicester City.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa extended their lead in the 63rd minute of the match with a brilliant header from second-half substitute Duran after receiving a perfect cross from Lucas Digne.

However, Leicester City scored a goal in the 73rd minute of the game through Buonanotte, who was well positioned for Mavididi’s cross into the 18-yard box.

Nottingham Forest (1-1) Wolves

In-form Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood scored the opener in the 10th minute of the Premier League game. He was left completely unmarked in the 18-yard box as he hit the ball into the left side of the post.

However, Wolves scored the equaliser two minutes after Wood’s goal. Wolves midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde went through the Nottingham Forest defence to score a beautiful goal.
