La Galaxy Loan Jonny Perez to Nashville SC For The Next 18 Months
MLS giant La Galaxy have loaned Jonny Perez to Nashville SC, for the 2024 season. The Nashville side have the option to extend his loan deal to 2025 or sign him on a permanent basis.
The La Galaxy team also have the option to recall the player back from loan in 2025 if the need arises.
Nashville manager Mike Jacobs was full of praise for the 21-year-old midfielder. Upon his signing on loan from La Galaxy, the Nashville manager said, “Jonathan is a dynamic attacking player who can both create and finish scoring chances. He fits what we look for in our wingers and attacking midfielders and is a welcome addition to our group.”
The Mexican midfielder has created one assist in 19 appearances for the La Galaxy team. He is expected to bring a diverse style of play and will contribute immensely to the success of the team.
Nashville are still active in the transfer window and are looking forward to bringing in more significant signings before the end of the season. They have completed the signing of Patrick Yazbek from Eliteserien for a fee worth €2.50 million.
Atlanta United sign Russian midfielder Aleksey Miranchuk.
MLS giant Atlanta United announced the signing of Russian midfielder Aleksey Miranchuk from 2023–24 Europa League winners, Atalanta.
The player signed a three-year contract, which is expected to end in June 2027, with the option to extend the contract to 2028.
Miranchuk is Atlanta United’s second signing in the transfer window. They have completed the signing of Pedro Amador from Moreirense on a free transfer.
Atlanta United Vice President Carlos Bocanegra revealed they were extremely excited to have completed the signing of a player with European experience.
He said, “We’re excited to sign a player of Alexey’s quality at this point in his career from a top league in Europe. He’s an attacking player who is an excellent chance creator capable of scoring goals.”
“Over the last four years, he has been a consistent player in Serie A and has made more than 40 combined appearances in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, while helping Atalanta win the Europa League title in 2023–24.”
“We’re pleased to add a player with his experience and winning mentality to our group, and we look forward to welcoming him to Atlanta.”
During his playing time in the Serie A with Atalanta, Miranchuk scored 13 goals in 98 appearances for the team. Also, he created 19 assists in all competitions.
Los Angeles Sign Nottingham Forest Midfielder Lewis O’Brien on Loan Until The End Of the Season
Los Angeles have completed the signing of Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien on a loan deal until the end of the season, with an option to sign the English midfielder on a permanent deal.
Lewis O’Brien is the second signing for the Los Angeles team after the American Club completed the signing of former French international Olivier Giroud on a free transfer after the striker left AC Milan.
In the current transfer window, Los Angeles have not spent a single fee on new players.
Los Angeles general manager John Thorrington revealed how incredibly excited they were about the signing of O’Brien.
He said, “We are incredibly excited to welcome Lewis to Los Angeles. He is a dynamic, versatile midfielder with qualities we know will complement an already strong group of midfielders and will help in our pursuit of trophies.”
“I would also like to thank Nottingham Forest and his representative, Kevin Sharp, for their professionalism throughout the process.”
The talented young midfielder went on loan to Middlesbrough in the 2023–24 season, where he had only one assist in 23 matches in all competitions.
