Former Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has completed his move to Spanish side Las Palmas.
Cillessen has signed a two-year deal with the La Liga side, which runs until the summer of 2026.

Confirming the acquisition of Jasper Cillessen, Las Palmas wrote:
“Jasper Cillessen (04/22/1989, Nijmegen) arrives at UD Las Palmas to reinforce the goal, after the transfer agreement reached with NEC Nijmegen, an Eredivisie team.”
The Dutch goalkeeper returns to Spain, following a stint with Spanish giants Barcelona between 2016 and 2019.
Cillessen departed the Catalan giants to join Valencia on July 1, 2019, before leaving the team in the summer of 2022.
Jasper Cillessen subsequently returned to the Netherlands by joining NEC Nijmegen from Valencia for a fee of €1 million.
It is uncertain how much Las Palmas have paid to get his services, but what is known is that he has become a player of the side.

Cillessen was born in Nijmegen, Netherlands, and he was breathtaking at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, helping the team led by Louis Van Gaal to a third-place finish at the Mundial.
Barcelona snatched him from Ajax on August 25, 2016, for a fee of €13 million, but he couldn’t secure a regular first-team shirt at the club.
The 35-year-old made 32 appearances for the Catalan-based club, keeping 14 clean sheets in all competitions.

It would be fascinating to see what Cillessen can offer to Las Palmas, who finished 16th on the log in the 2023/24 season.
They commence the season with a big game against Sevilla at their home turf on August 18, 2024, before playing Leganes on August 25, 2024, and afterward giants Real Madrid on August 28, 2024.
Las Palmas also have Athletic Bilbao, Real Betis, and Villarreal to play in September 2024 amongst a host of other big fixtures.
Jasper Cillessen will be looking to accentuate his brilliance in goal, as Los Amarillos aim to remain present in the top-flight for many years before targeting bigger heights.
