Ana Pinho: Bruno Fernandes Shares Fascinating Revelation Indicating His Wife’s Impact On His Football Career

    Bruno Fernandes has shared an interesting revelation about his love life, indicating that he was so broke to the extent that his wife, Ana Pinho, used to pay for their dates.

    Fernandes expressed that this was while he was chasing his footballing dream, which has obviously gotten to great heights now.

    Bruno Fernandes currently captains one of the biggest clubs in football, Manchester United, and he earns £240,000 per week at the club.

    The Portuguese, who is loved by fans of the Old Trafford side, penned an open letter to supporters on The Players’ Tribune ahead of Manchester United’s FA Cup final clash against neighbors Manchester City on May 25, 2024.

    Fernandes recalled the struggles he faced whilst trying to make it as a footballer after leaving Portugal for Italy in 2012 as a youngster.

    After a difficult spell in Italy with Novara and Udinese, his impressive one-season stint at Sampdoria resulted in Sporting Lisbon signing him in 2017.

    Bruno Fernandes’ career blossomed following his return to Portugal, and Manchester United came calling for his services and ultimately signed him in January 2020.

    Ana Pinho Has Been A Strong Supporter Of Fernandes

    However, despite all of the issues he passed through, his wife Ana, has remained a massive pillar behind him, supporting him since they began dating.

    Fernandes as aforementioned even indicated that Ana Pinho even funded their relationship at times by refereeing futsal matches to get money to pay for their dates to the cinema.

    Bruno Fernandes said: “Ana has been with me on this ride since we were 16, 17, 18 years old.

    “We met as teenagers, and when we first started dating, I wasn’t making any money as a footballer, and she had a nice job working as a futsal referee on the weekends.”

    The playmaker also shared that Ana usually adjudicated three or four matches in a row on a Saturday, so they can have fun at the cinema on Sunday.

    Fernandes wrote: “She used to do three or four matches in a row on a Saturday, and then we would always go to the cinema on Sundays.

    “I personally didn’t have much money at the time so Ana was the one who had to pay for our movie tickets. Same with going out to dinner. Even at the pizza shop, she had to pay.”

    Ana Pinho has been a long-term supporter of her husband, with the footballer revealing that he was reassured by his wife to keep pursuing his dream after he became teary.

    Bruno Fernandes also disclosed how he hung up the phone after completing his move to Manchester United and embraced Ana as he burst into tears of joy.

    The 29-year-old married his childhood darling Ana Pinho in 2015, and they have two children together; 7-year-old daughter Matilde, who was born on January 30, 2017.

    The pair also have a son together, named Goncalo, and he is currently 4 years old. He was born on September 6, 2020. 

    Ana was born on April 18, 1994, in Boavista, Portugal, and she met Fernandes at Boastiva High School, with the pair aged “16/17” at the time.

    Moreover, Ana Pinho has about 123,000 followers on Instagram, and she frequently puts out lovely pictures whilst also showing her support for her husband’s club Manchester United.

    In the same piece which he shared on his socials, Bruno Fernandes confirmed he has no intention of leaving Manchester United, amid reports linking him with a move away from Old Trafford. 

    However, Fernandes wants Manchester United to consistently compete for trophies. His latest assertion comes after he recently shared that he will ponder on his future after the 2024 European Championship.

    Bruno Fernandes, who was born on September 8, 1994, has won just the Carabao Cup since joining Manchester United in 2020, and he will be looking to help his side defeat Manchester City on May 25, 2024, to win the FA Cup.
