England and Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has ignored Cristiano Ronaldo as he names a Real Madrid legend as his best striker of all time.

The sensational forward has been on top of his game since leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich last summer.

He has tallied a record 44 goals in 45 appearances for Bayern Munich across all competitions. His prolific goalscoring run has seen the England star break a 60-year-old Bundesliga goalscoring record held by Hamburg legend Uwe Seeler.

However, the roaring form wasn’t enough to hand the Bavarians silverware – a misfortune that has been jokingly linked to the iron-clad curse of trophy drought in the player’s career.

While Kane has proven his class in the German top-flight in his first season, the former Tottenham captain still considers himself and other known strikers below his favorite and best striker of all time.

Unsurprisingly, he picked his best striker from one of the biggest clubs in the world – Real Madrid. Real Madrid have a long list of legendary forwards that have made their mark in the game.

However, when the club is mentioned for that category, no other legendary striker comes to mind than Cristiano Ronaldo, who is one of the club’s and world’s greatest footballers with an unprecedented influence in the game. But to Kane, the Al-Nassr forward is not to the measure of one Real Madrid legend he adores a great deal.

In a game titled ‘Winners Stays On,’ Kane was given a list of top strikers, Cristiano Ronaldo included, and asked to pick one. Instead of going for Cristiano Ronaldo, he went for the player’s namesake and former Brazil international – Ronaldo Delima.

After picking Ronaldo Delima, he was presented with Cristiano Ronaldo, and he chose to stick with Delima. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, Ruud van Nistelroy, Lukaku, including himself, and other top strikers were also presented to him but he ignored them all and stuck with Delima.

In his words, as shared by GOAL, ”If we are going with strikers I am going to have to say R9.”

Ronaldo Delima had a great playing career. He scored 298 club goals in 454 appearances.

The footballing legend also won two World Cup trophies with Brazil’s national team, including two Ballon d’Or awards.

Delima would later call time on his career in 2011 at the age of 34 due to niggling injuries but had successfully established himself as one of the icons of the sport.

Nevertheless, when the stats are juxtaposed, Cristiano Ronaldo has had a hugely more successful and impressive career than Ronaldo Delima but Kane thinks the Brazilian legend fits more into his model striker.
