Phil Foden has won the 2023/24 Premier League Player Of The Season following his stellar campaign with Manchester City.

It is the third time Foden has bagged the Premier League end of the season awards after winning the Premier League Young Player of The Season Award back-to-back in 2021 and 2022.

Regarded as one of the most promising young talents in the Premier League, Foden, 23, has scored 17 league goals for Manchester City this season with 8 assists in 34 appearances.

He was nominated for the award alongside his teammate Erling Haaland, who won both the Young Player and Player of The Season Award last season.

Also nominated for the award were Arsenal duo Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice who have been key to the Gunners’ push for the Premier League title.

Liverpool captain Virgil Van Dijk also made the cut, including Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, and Alexander Isak of Newcastle United.

Foden skimmed through the competition and bagged the award with the most votes – a testament to his promising and brilliant career.

Speaking with the Manchester City website after receiving the award, he said;

“To win this award is an achievement that I am extremely proud of,” Foden told Man City’s official website.

“The Premier League is acknowledged as the greatest league in the world, and it is a pleasure to have been nominated with so many other great players who have all enjoyed special seasons for their clubs.”

The young footballing sensation will hope to cap his sensational individual campaign helping City their fourth Premier League title in a row.

He will become the first Premier League under the age of 23 to win six Premier League titles if City edge out West Ham to clinch the trophy.
