Manchester United’s move for highly-rated Premier League young talent Michael Olise may not see the light of the day.

Futballnews understands United are leading the race to sign the prolific youngster. However, a deal to secure the services of the London-born attacker may not materialize, according to reports.

As per Fabrizio Romano, United have been “informed’ by Crystal Palace of the conditions for a transfer, including the release clause attached to the players’ contract.

However, a move for the player could be soiled since the club have yet to sort out uncertainties in the Man United dugout.

Under new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s transfer plan, the manager is set to play a big role in transfer decisions. With uncertainties hovering around the future of Erik ten Hag in the dugout at Old Trafford, the move for Michael Olise could be scuttled.

Meanwhile, sources close to the young player reveal he is open to a move to Manchester United. United Premier League rivals Chelsea lined up a move for Olise last season but suffered a setback as the player refused to reach an agreement with the club.

It is understood Olise’s decision to turn down a move to Stamford Bridge was also linked to United’s interest in the player since last season.

A deal this summer could likely be brokered for the player if United sort out their managerial issues.

Crystal Palace are open to selling Michael Olise despite tying him down to a new contract last season with a new £60m release clause.

The decision to broker a new contract with the player was a ploy by the Eagles to take charge of proceedings at the negotiation table in the wake of rising interests in the player.

As of the time of filing this report, United are still the frontrunner to sign Olise but have to decide on Erik ten Hag’s future before any transfer proceedings.

Olise missed 18 games for Crystal Palace this season due to injury but has rallied up to score 10 goals with 5 assists in 18 Premier League appearances for Man United.
