Manchester City lead the coefficient table of UEFA, with the Premier League champions ahead of many gigantic teams.

Based on the latest ranking shared by UEFA via their website, Pep Guardiola’s City is ahead of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, who occupy the top 3 positions.

Chelsea shockingly made it to the top 10, with Manchester United a notable absentee in the first 10 teams in Europe according to UEFA’s coefficient table.

Interestingly, Serie A clubs like AS Roma and Inter Milan are also present amongst a plethora of top teams in the top 10.

3 German Teams Make The Top 10 Of The UEFA Coefficient Table

There are 3 German teams in the first 10 clubs on the coefficient table of UEFA, with Borussia Dortmund, who sit 10th, and RB Leipzig, who occupy the 8th spot ably present.

Spanish giants Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are all outside the top 10, a shocking reality for many.

Italian heavyweights Juventus are also placed 18th on the log, while Aurelio De Laurentiis’ Napoli sit in the 17th spot.

The performances of these teams in Europe in recent years are the major determinant for their rankings, with teams that have slumbered going down the pecking order.

Manchester United and Barcelona are worthy examples of teams that have been on a downward spiral and are yet to sort out their issues structurally and footballing-wise.

Teams that have been mesmeric in the past couple of years have also been recognized, with their brilliance taking them to higher heights on the list.

Manchester City are one side that has become a powerhouse in European football, and the brilliance that they have accentuated in recent years has seen them rise to the summit of the log above bigger European teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Bayer Leverkusen Are A Team To Watch Out For

Some teams are also climbing up the ladder gradually, with Bayer Leverkusen gradually heading to a higher position on the log.

Serial UEFA Europa League winners Sevilla sit outside the top 10 in 15th, but they certainly are a tough bone to crack in Europe.

Manchester City are the defending champions of the UEFA Champions League, while Sevilla are current holders of the UEFA Europa League after defeating Roma on penalties.

West Ham United tutored by Scottish boss David Moyes, aren’t present on the top 20 list, despite winning the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.

Definitely, their overall pedigree in Europe is not as massive, compared to the winners of higher European competitions last term, namely; Manchester City (Champions League), and Sevilla (Europa League).
