These Are The Premier League Results of Matches Played On April 3, 2024.

1. Arsenal (2-0) Luton Town

Arsenal return to the top of the Premier League table after a convincing win against Luton Town on April 4, 2024. Mikel Arteta rested his key players against Luton, and Arsenal still dominated the game.

Arsenal’s first goal came in the first half of the game through their captain, Martin Odegaard. Despite the first-half goal, Arsenal sat back due to Luton aggressively pressing the North London side.

In the second half, Arsenal scored the second goal of the game through Luton Town Daiki Hashioka’s own goal.

Luton Town remain in the 18th position, three points shy of safety from the relegation zone, with seven games left to secure a Premier League stay.

2. Brentford (0-0) Brighton

Brighton were denied a clear penalty in the match against Brentford, with the referee in charge, Andy Madley, virtually ignoring the VAR review.

The referee was called to look at the VAR monitor after Yoane Wissa brought down Lewis Dunk inside the Brentord 18-yard box in the first half of extra time.

He sticked to his initial decision and failed to look at the monitor. That was the major talking point of the game.

Apart from that, Brentford attacker Ivan Toney missed a great chance to put the Bees ahead in the game.

Brighton failed to threaten Brentford goal post until the added time of the second half, despite playing 22 shots.

Former Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck should have won the game for Brighton in stoppage time, but his attempt was not clinical enough.

3. Manchester City (4-1) Aston Villa

English international Phil Foden scored a sensational hattrick against Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium on Premier League Match Day 31.

Pep Guardiola benched Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland against the fourth-place Premier League team. Rodri scored the first goal for Manchester City before Aston Villa scored the equalizer through Jhon Duran.

Foden took the game away from Aston Villa with his impressive performance. The youngster scored a free kick in the first half and another goal an hour later.

Foden scored a rocket shot to increase his total number of goals this season to 21. It was the player’s second hat-trick this season.

It will be difficult to write off Manchester City from the title race due to the fact that they have less difficult fixtures until the end of the season.
