According to German outlets, Varane is being primed by Bayern Munich hierarchy as key to the club’s defense plan despite recently acquiring the services of former Napoli defender Kim Min Jae.
Raphael Varane has seen his rating at Manchester United dropped drastically this season. He has struggled to find his way back to the club’s starting lineup after being sidelined early in the season.
His competitor, Harry Maguire, who endured a torrid campaign with Manchester United last season, is now Erik ten Hag’s preferred center-back for Manchester United.
Varane has managed only 8 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions this season. It is believed the French footballer could be forced to call time on his Old Trafford stint should his dwindling fortunes shows no sign of abetting.
