Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has lashed out at a Man United fans account on social media for spreading fake news about his career at Old Trafford.

A seemingly furious Rashford dropped a five-word reply on The United Stand account, a social media channel covering Man United news. The English striker who has struggled so far this season blasted rumors carried by the channel that his future at the club is uncertain following recent happenings in Man United squad.

Rashford was absent from Man United squad that defeated Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday. His absence came hours after Erik ten Hag blasted him for partying while celebrating his birthday after Manchester United suffered a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in 191st Manchester Derby.

He was also absent from Manchester United meal party organized by Man United players to celebrate the Premier League win over Fulham.

There have been speculations around Marcus Rashford Man United future based on recent developments despite his recent new contract at the club.

United Fan Stand attempted a podcast on social media to delve into speculations surrounding the future of the English forward but the striker was quick to dismiss such speculations as “malicious.” He wrote on X;

“Please STOP spreading malicious rumours,” Rashford said.

Erik ten Hag confirms Marcus Rashford is injured

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag comfirmed Marcus Rashford’s absence from Man United squad is due to injury.

Speaking after Man United last-gasp victory over Fuham, Erik ten Hag revealed Rashford had picked up an injury and was not available for the match against Fulham.

Rashford has endured a torrid start to the 2023/24 season with Manchester United. He has managed only a goal after 14 games so far.

Rashford was Man United topscorer last season, netting 30 goals in all competitions. His below-par delivery this season has also contributed to Man United poor start to the campaign as well.

For the first time in decades, Manchester United have stumbled to five defeats in their first 11 Premier League games. The match against Fulham nearly ended in a stalemate before Bruno Fernandes stoppage-time goal secure all three points for the Red Devils.
