Liverpool thrashed Nottingham Forest 3-0 at Anfield to ensure they reduce Tottenham’s lead to two points.

Liverpool, who were top of the table last weekend after beating Everton 2-0, ensured they took all points against Forest.

Darwin Nunez spearheaded the Reds attack just 30 minutes into the game with a beautiful efffort.

However, his beautiful effort was not good enough to beat Matt Turner at the near post as the goalie saved it.

It did not take long before Murillo made another mistake that saw Jürgen Klopp’s men take the lead.

Liverpool launched a quick counter-attack after a rash decision by Forest star found onrushing Dominik Szoboszlai.

Liverpool took the lead after the mistake and the Hungarian found Salah who drove the ball for Nunez to scamper.

The Hungarian sas his shot parried by Turner, but the rebound was enough for Diogo Jota to open the scoring.

The visitors had a chance 5 minutes from time as former Manchester United player Anthony Elanga hit the woodwork.

The effort was not enough to stop the Reds from claiming all three points or Allison getting a clean sheet.

Dominik Szoboszlai was named man of the match following his performance in the match against Forest.

One thing that was notable in the Liverpool v Forest match was Diogo Jota showing support for Luiz Dias who’s parent were kidnapped by raising his jersey as seen above.
