Manchester United have been handed an injury boost as well as a blow ahead of their Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

After a dreary start to their Champions League campaign, the Red Devils put themselves off the mark against FC Copenhagen thanks to Harry Maguire’s late header and Andre Onana’s last-gasp penalty save deep into extra time.

United have now bagged three successive wins in all competitions and will be hoping to continue their recovery from an abysmal start to the season.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka back to United training ahead of Man City Clash, ten Hag confirms

The game against Manchester City will be a litmus test of United’s strength to maintain their winning run and close up the gap for a top four finish.

Ahead of the game, Erik ten Hag has confirmed Aaron Wan-Bissaka is back to Man United training and may likely feature for the Red Devils.

“Yes, Aaron was training today,” confirmed the manager, when speaking to journalists at Carrington.

Wan-Bissaka missed weeks of action for the club following due to injury but will now be racing against time to recover fully and return to action for Manchester United.

Key player, Casemiro, has been confirmed to be a doubt for the game according to ten Hag as he faces race against time to recover from a knock he picked up while on international duty with Brazil national team.

According to Erik ten Hag, he is still recovering from the knock but will be racing against time to be fully fit ahead of the game.

“Case is a race against the clock,” admitted Ten Hag at his pre-match press conference. “He is not 100 per cent.”

Erik ten Hag has faced Manchester City three times since joining Manchester United as manager and has won once and lost twice. He will renew his young rivalry with his former boss Pep Guardiola on Sunday.
