Al Ittihad are intensifying efforts to snap up Spanish legend Sergio Ramos, who is currently a free agent.

Ramos, who spent the last two seasons at Paris Saint Germain, is currently in search of a club to ply his trade for the 2023/24 season.

Reports indicate that Al Ittihad have put a formal two-year deal proposal on the table to sign Sergio Ramos.

The 37-year-old is expected to decide his future soon, but he is weighing his options keenly.

Besiktas are also reportedly interested in signing the Spaniard, but they want a response from Ramos by Monday, September 4, 2023.

The Turkish giants have tabled a €8 million per annum offer to defender, on a two-year contract.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray are also said to be interested in signing Sergio Ramos, and they have put forward a contract offer of €6 million per annum to lure him to the club.

Ramos left Paris Saint Germain on July 1, 2023, following the expiration of his contract with the French club.

The Spaniard made 58 appearances for the club, scoring 6 goals and providing 1 assist across all competitions.

Al Ittihad have tabled a contract offer which will see Sergio Ramos earn between the region of €15 million – €20 million base salary yearly, in addition to €3 million in bonuses.

If Sergio Ramos joins Al Ittihad, he will be teaming up with former teammate Karim Benzema, who joined the Pro League club this summer.

He will also become the latest star arrival to Saudi Arabia, as they continue their bullish approach to gain global attention in football.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane amongst others, have moved to Saudi Arabia within the past 12 months.

He joined PSG from Real Madrid where he made 671 appearances for the club, scoring 101 goals and providing 40 assists across all competitions.

Sergio Ramos is lauded for his defensive brilliance, as he manages to help defensively and also chip in beneficial goals in attack.

The 37-year-old retired from international football on February 23, 2023, having made 180 appearances for Spain.

Ramos scored 23 goals and provided 8 assists for Spain, spending 18 years in the senior men’s national team.

The Spaniard, who has played for Sevilla, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint Germain, has scored 110 goals and provided 41 assists in 778 games so far in his club career.
