Alex Iwobi is on his way to Fulham after the Cottage agreed a fee around £22m with add-ons with Everton for the Nigerian midfielder.
Transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano shared an update on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account saying that the Nigerian is on his way to London.
He said: “Axel Iwobi to Fulham, here we go! Deal agreed after negotiations collapsed for Ocampos earlier this week ⚪️⚫️”
“Fee around £22m add-ons included, as @skysports_sheth mentioned. Medical in London later today.”
Iwobi, 27, is on his way to London for a medical with a view to completing the move before the transfer deadline at 23:00 BST.
The Nigerian was absent in last weekend’s home defeat to Wolves due to an injury.
This move will see Iwobi reunite with Marco Silva, the coach who signed him for Everton in 2019 and he will be Fulham’s latest summer signing.
The London side have already signed Raul Jimenez, Adama Traore, Calvin Bassey, Timothy Castagne and goalkeeper Steven Benda.
Alex Iwobi is likely to offer Fulham valuable competition for places in attacking areas, with left-wing his favoured position.
The Nigerian midfielder has scored 9 goals in 140 total appearances for the Toffees. He has made two appearances for Everton this season.
