Paris Saint Germain have completed the signing of Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona for a fee of €50.4 million.
Dembele has signed a five-year deal with the Parisians, which is valid until at least June 2028.
Confirming his arrival to the Parc Des Princes, Paris Saint Germain put out a statement on their website which reads:
“Ousmane Dembélé joins Paris Saint-Germain from FC Barcelona. The world champion, who will wear number 23, has signed up for 5 seasons.”
Dembele made 185 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 40 goals and providing 43 assists across all competitions.

The Frenchman becomes the 11th signing for Paris Saint Germain this summer, having signed; Manuel Ugarte, Lucas Hernández, Hugo Ekitiké, Kang-in Lee and Xavi Simons.
They have also signed Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio, Arnau Tenas and Cher Ndour on a free transfer.
Additionally, PSG also acquired the services of Portugal International Goncalo Ramos from Benfica on-loan.
Ousmane Dembele also expressed his delight at joining Paris Saint Germain, saying: “I’m delighted to be joining Paris Saint-Germain and I can’t wait to play for my new club”
“I hope to continue to improve here and make all the club’s fans proud”.
Ousmane Dembele joined Barcelona on August 25, 2017, from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €135 million.
His time with the Catalan giants was blighted by injury as he struggled to keep a starting shirt and maintain consistency with the Blaugrana club.
Dembele won several trophies at Barcelona, notably; 3 La Liga titles, 2 Copa Del Rey, and 2 Supercopa de Espana.
The France international made 50 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, scoring 10 goals and providing 22 assists across all competitions.
He is returning to familiar territory with the Ligue 1, having previously played in the league for Stade Rennais.
Ousmane Dembele made 29 appearances for Stade Rennais, scoring 12 goals and providing 5 assists across all competitions.
The 26-year-old left Rennais to join Borussia Dortmund on July 1, 2016, for a fee of €35 million.
While with the French club, Dembele won the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year for 2015/16.
Is Dembele replacing Kylian Mbappe at PSG?
Reports indicate that he might be coming in to Paris Saint Germain as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, whose future currently lies in uncertainty.
Paris Saint Germain won the Ligue 1 title and the Trophée des Champions last term, however, it was still an underwhelming season by their standards.

Paris Saint Germain will commence the 2023/24 Ligue 1 season on Saturday, August 12, 2023, with a home game against Lorient.
