Ultras of the Paris-based club told Lucas Hernandez that he isn’t welcome in the French capital.

They said: “You are not welcome here, Merseillais, and we will let you know”.

Hernandez ties with Olympique Marseille is apparently a problem!

This harsh message is seemingly coming due to his links with Olympique Marseille. He was born in Marseille and his dad used to ply his trade with the French club.

Olympique Marseille are one of PSG’s fiercest rivals and Hernandez after Bayern Munich defeated the Parisians in the final of the Champions League talked about his ties with the club.

Jean-François Hernandez is the father of Lucas Hernandez and he represented Marseille from 1995 to 1998.

He made 38 appearances for the French club, scoring 2 goals and providing no assists.

Francois Hernandez was also a center-back like his son and he played for several teams, including Rayo Vallecano and Atletico Madrid.

The Paris Saint Germain Ultras are known to be vociferous in showing their discontent, airing their grievance and making their voices heard.

During the course of the 2022/23 season, they aired their grievances against players like Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr for poor performances via protests.

PSG ultras are unflinching and “die hard” supporters of the French club and they are always present at home and away matches.

Lucas Hernandez was unwilling to remain in Bavaria as he wanted to return to his home country.

However, it is uncertain if he properly weighed the hostile environment he is seemingly going into.

It remains to be seen if Hernandez can win the trust and affection of the egocentric ultras.

Marseille and PSG share a rivalry that has spanned nearly five decades, having played against each other for the first time, on the 12th of December, 1971.

The rivalry is the biggest in France as both are the most successful teams in the country and little wonder where the hatred stems from.

Lucas Hernandez has the big task ahead of winning the trust of the vorciferous Paris Saint Germain ultras.
