The Italian Journalist and transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, confirmed that the agreement to sign the 22-year-old player has been completed.

Dortmund will be paying Wolfsburg £25.7 million for the talented German midfielder who previously played for Manchester City.

Newcastle United have been actively searching for midfield reinforcements during the transfer window.

They recently made a bid for Felix Nmecha, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful.

The Magpies also showed interest in Declan Rice, but he was deemed too expensive, while James Maddison and Dominik Szoboszlai chose to sign with other clubs last week.

However, Newcastle United are expected to make an official announcement regarding the signing of Sandro Tonali.

Meanwhile, there have been rumors connecting the Wolfsburg rising star Felix Nmecha to Manchester United.

According to a report from German channel Sport1, Manchester United have been closely monitoring the Wolfsburg midfielder and had even held talks with his father regarding a potential transfer before Dortmund hijacked him.

These transfers may have disappointed some supporters but most Newcastle United fans will not be too upset about not acquiring Nmecha.

He is a skilled player and someone whom Eddie Howe truly admires. To cap it all, he was considered as a more affordable option compared to some of the other potential choices.

The Magpies’ fans believe Nmecha wouldn’t have been as much of a high-profile signing as Tonali is expected to be.

However, Dortmund recognized Nmecha’s unique qualities as they seek to address the vacuum created by Jude Bellingham’s departure to Real Madrid.

Newcastle might have the opportunity to witness Nmecha’s true potential in the upcoming season, especially if they face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

That would provide Newcastle fans with an ideal opportunity to assess whether the club made a mistake by not fully committing to the 22-year-old star who has been compared to Zinedine Zidane.
