Bernardo Silva of Manchester City has been offered a massive £800,000 per week deal from Saudi Arabia Pro League.

The Middle Eastern clubs are searching for more mature signings this summer to bolster their growing League and the Portuguese International is one of their latest top targets.

Bernardo Silva, the current UEFA Champions League winner has been linked with a move away from the current English Premier League champions in recent times, with several top European clubs looking to sign him.

Paris Saint Germain and FC Barcelona are two of the top clubs set to sign the former Monaco player but no deal seems to be forthcoming.

Manchester City have already denied a considerable offer from French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain after formerly managing to see off Barcelona’s long-term attention by placing outrageous price tag on him.

The 28-year-old still has two years left on his current 150,000 pounds per week contract at Man City, however, the current treble-winning club led by Pep Guardiola are despondent to keep hold of their star player.

Meanwhile, FC Barcelona was Bernardo’s chosen fate but with his cost set at 60 million pounds, the Catalan club went to his City teammate and free agent Ilkay Gundogan instead.

Because of this, Silva’s future is uncertain. He seemed eager to add another success story to his impressive resume, which will allow the Saudis to proceed with their daring plan.

Silva has been an excellent team member since joining Manchester City from AS Monaco in the summer of 2017. With the Cityzens, he has appeared in 306 games, contributing 55 goals and 59 assists.

Bernardo Silva was an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s squad that won the European treble last season. The Portuguese midfielder scored seven goals and sent out eight assists in 55 games across all competitions during their last season campaign.

However, it has been said that he will be leaving for the summer. Silva now earns £175,000 annually at Manchester. Therefore, the massive inducement from Saudi Arabia may sway him to join the Middle Eastern side.

Al Ittihad, who have been monitoring fellow City forward Riyad Mahrez, are willing to provide a big salary on top of a transfer fee of £70 million or more to lure the ex-Monaco player away from the club.

More than five times Silva’s salary in Manchester would be covered by the £41.6m annual package on the table for him, backed by the country’s Public Investment Fund.

Despite Silva’s importance to City’s domestic and European success last season, he is not even paid as much as the periphery first-team players like Kalvin Phillips.

The Saudi club that is after him has not been officially identified, but it is widely believed to be Al Hilal.

Several high-profile players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, N’Golo Kante, and Eduardo Mendy, have transferred to the league from the Premier League.

Karim Benzema, a former star for Real Madrid, has also signed with the league.

Therefore, we may be seeing the rise of further A-listers. Silva’s shrewdness and age make him a potentially game-changing addition to the league.
