Carvalho will represent the Red Bulls for the entirety of the 2023/24 season after penning a one-year loan deal with the Bundesliga side.

The 20-year-old joined Liverpool last summer from Fulham, but he has struggled to get playing time.

He made 21 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool last term, scoring 3 goals and providing no assist.

The Reds maintained that Carvalho is part of the club’s long-term plans, in spite of his loan transfer to RB Leipzig.

However, some sources suggest that the Portuguese isn’t in the plans of Jurgen Klopp for the upcoming season.

The youngster will now join the Red Bulls as he continues his career development and he hopes that Leipzig will be the best environment for him to fine tune his craft.

Meanwhile, away from England, Milan Skriniar has left Inter Milan on Friday, 30th of June, 2023.

He spent six seasons with the Nerazzurri achieving excellent strides, including winning the Serie A, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana.

The Slovakian refused to pen a contract extension with Inter Milan and he has opted to join Paris Saint Germain.

The 28-year-old should have made a switch to PSG in the summer of 2022, but the Champions League runners up blocked his move to Paris.

Inter Milan’s statement on Milan Skriniar

Confirming Skriniar’s departure, Inter Milan released a statement which reads: “Six seasons full of victories and satisfactions: Milan Skriniar ‘s adventure with the Inter shirt ends here.”

They added that he was a leading member in the club’s “extraordinary growth path” which started with their UCL return in 2018.

They wrote: “At Inter since the summer of 2017, Skriniar has been one of the protagonists of Inter’s extraordinary growth path, which began with their return to the Champions League in 2018 and culminated with the conquest of five trophies in the last three seasons.”

The Nerazzurri ended their statements thanking the Slovakian for his contributions to the team.

“A Scudetto, two Italian Cups and two Italian Super Cups: these are the trophies won by Skriniar with the Nerazzurri shirt, with which he collected a total of 246 appearances and 11 goals in his six seasons. Greetings and thanks from the entire Inter family go to Skriniar.”

Milan Skriniar will be unveiled as new Paris Saint Germain player in the coming week.

As Per Fabrizio Romano, Skriniar’s deal to the French capital has been completed since January 2023.

The defender is expected to earn within the region of €10 million – €15 million yearly at PSG.

He will pen a four-year deal with the Parisians, meaning he will remain with the club until at least the summer of 2027.

Patrick Viera to Strasbourg

On the other hand, former Crystal Palace’s boss Patrick Viera is on the verge of being named manager of French side Strasbourg.

According to reports, both parties have reached a verbal agreement and the deal is almost signed, sealed and delivered.

He will be penning a three-year deal with Strasbourg, meaning he will remain at the club until at least 2026.

Strasbourg finished 15th on the Ligue 1 table last term and they had a pretty decent season by their standards.

Viera had an horrendous season at Crystal Palace, during the early stages of the 2022/23 season before he was dismissed by the club.

Supporters of Strasbourg can hope for the best under the Frenchman who guided Nice to a 7th place finish in the Ligue 1, in his first season handling the side.

However, they will hope that the ghost of a poor run of five defeats in a row which resulted in his dismissal from Nice doesn’t come back to hunt him.

Viera has managed 327 games so far in his managerial career; winning 137, drawing 78 and losing 112.
