Romelu Lukaku has reportedly rejected a “not tempting” offer from Al-Hilal as he is requesting for a bigger deal.

Al Hilal continues to set their eyes on top players in Europe and Lukaku appears to be the individual that has caught their attention.

After missing out on Lionel Messi who joined Inter Miami following the expiration of his deal with Paris Saint Germain, The side are looking to sign a notable star of their own.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr on a two-and-a-half-year deal in December while rivals Al Ittihad nabbed Karim Benzema on a free transfer.

One of the high-profile names Al Hilal are apparently eyeing is Romelu Lukaku. They have tabled an offer of €20 million-per-year for the Belgian but he is asking for at least €90 million-per-year.

The former Manchester United forward had an average season with Inter Milan, having a mixture of below par and top performances.

He was targeted following the Nerazzurri Champions League final loss to Manchester City as he missed many glorious chances on the night.

However, the Italian side are interested in furthering his loan deal at Milan for another year.

A permanent deal appears not to be in the reckoning due to the amount Chelsea are asking for.

The Blues intend on selling the 30-year-old permanently as they want to get him off their wage bill ahead of the new season.

That uncertainty has offered Al Hilal the opportunity to swoop in for Romelu Lukaku, but both parties disagree over salary.

Romelu Lukaku feels he should earn more than four times of what he was offered by Al Hilal

He feels the offer is apparently not tempting enough for him to join the Riyadh based club.

You can’t begrudge him though, Karim Benzema is reported to have penned more than €100 million annually at Al-Ittihad.

Romelu Lukaku’s colleague at Chelsea N’Golo Kante is also set to receive an offer similar to that of the ex-Real Madrid man.

The Pro League have displayed themselves as a league for players who want to earn ridiculous sums and as such Lukaku feels the €20 million offered is a paltry sum.

Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna revealed on Twitter that Al Hilal have turned their attention on other strikers after the Belgian rejected their offer.

He wrote: “Al-Hilal proposed €20M to Romelu Lukaku but The Chelsea forward wants €90m by year.

“Al-Hilal were ready to make a proposal for a permanent deal to Chelsea but now they’re ready to give chase to another striker.”

The former Everton forward met delegates from Al Hilal in Paris on Monday to discuss a possible move to Saudi Arabia.

However it is understood that Romelu Lukaku will prefer to continue representing Inter Milan next season.

The forward scored 78 goals and provided 23 assists in 132 appearances for Inter during his two stints at the Giuseppe Meazza.
