Shakira have finally left Barcelona after her ex-husband Pique’s father reportedly served the Colombian singer and songwriter an ‘eviction notice.’
The Colombian star received a letter which instructed her and her parents to abandon Pique’s family house in Barcelona after she did a diss song aimed at Pique and his new girlfriend.
Shakira, however, said nothing about the eviction notice in her farewell message she shared on Instagram after she was seen leaving Catalan capital with her two sons to start all over in Florida.
Shakira is expected to enjoy a few days’ holiday in an unknown location with sons Milan, ten, and Sasha, eight, before they start at a private school just north of Miami on April 11.
There was uncertainty as to when or the exact day Shakira was planning to leave Barcelona until hours before her exit as questions about her parents health were piling.
On March 13, El Periodico and La Vanguardia reported that Shakira was told she had to vacate the mansion in Esplugues de Llobregat where she has continued to stay following her divorce last year from Pique by April 30 – or pay compensation.
It was also reported that Shakira said she had received an email signed by her ex-partner’s father Joan Pique and La Vanguardia described it as a letter from the ex-footballer’s father.
The mansion was owned by the ex-couple with their names before it became a property of a firm called BCN Two & Two in September last year after the couple announced their split.
Pique’s father is said to be the sole director and shareholder of the company which is also affiliated with Pique’s holding company Kerad Holding.
Reports by Spanish Media is yet to specify the amount of compensation Shakira was to pay as part of her agreement when the property ownership changed last September, if she fails to leave by April ending.
El Periodico also claimed that: ‘Now we understand the photos of the singer crying.’

Shakira and Gerard Pique officially ended their relationship after a rumor of infidelity went public on the first of June 2022.
They ex-couple confirmed their break-up via a statement on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
Shakira and Gerard Pique who met each other for the first time during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa have been dating since then.
Despite being together for more than 11 years, they failed to officially tie the knot – just like other popular football stars.
However, their relationship saw them birth two beautiful children – Milan born on 22 January 2013 in Barcelona, and Sasha born on January 2015 in the same city.
Shakira is older than Pique with about 10 years. Their relationship was cordial and even the media barely got anything to hold onto except for when the break-up issues turned up.
Futballnews reported that 45-year-old Shakira caught her 35-year-old lover cheating on her with another woman. Following the event, the former Barca defender had to move out of the mansion he, Shakira, and their two children have been staying for over 8 years.
Other reports have it that he wanted to get a loan from Shakira to invest in a business which she vehemently rejected, which got him mad.
