Fans of Arsenal that want to buy tickets second hand presently have to part with more than a grand to be able to get it.

And just a pair of lower tier seats are even on the market for a huge £53,000 each. Normally, the costliest ticket in the Centre Upper is £131.

While fans of the North London side are filled with happiness, followers of other sides joked that some will be paying a gigantic amount to see their team finish second on the table.

A fan responded: “To watch Man City lift the trophy on the big screen?”

A second fan tweeted: “Would love it if it sold for that price and City won the league instead.”

And a third fan commented: “That’s a lot of money to watch them lift nothing.”
