Ben Elliott joined Chelsea at the age of eight

The 20-year-old signed for Chelsea at the age of eight and he was part of the academy class that had German International Jamal Musiala and Tino Livramento.

He has played for England at the U-16 level before aggravating a big knock to his knee and this had a ripple effect on his growth for Chelsea and England.

Elliott’s growth in the round leather game was halted for more than forty-eight (48) months from the tender age of fifteen (15).

Nevertheless, he has triumphantly put that behind him and he is set to begin his Chelsea career.

Elliott has been one of the important players of the club at U-21 level this season.

Due to his impressive performance for Chelsea, he made the cut of the 25-man Chelsea side for their mid-season training camp in Asia, Abu-Dhabi to be precise.

That involvement with the senior team of The Blues assisted in putting him on the gaze of Cameroon’s officials.

Noticing his full name, Benjamin Njongoue Elliott, on the team list for the friendly between Chelsea and Aston Villa in Abu-Dhabi would have signaled interest in alerting them to his Cameroonian ancestry.
