Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane is an excited person and the reason is quite clear. He is now a La Liga winner with the club as a player and coach after dislodging Barcelona, who has been winning it since 2012.
The Galacticos clinched their 34th La Liga title courtesy of a 2-1 win over Villareal. Although they would have won the league even if they lose because Barcelona suffered a 2-1 loss against ten-men Osasuna at the Camp Nou.
They dislodged Barca on top of the log courtesy of ten straight wins while the Catalans stumbled along the road since the restart with three draws.

Speaking at the press conference following the clash with Villarreal, the Frenchman who was a Champions League winner with the Galaticos during his playing days noted that he is fortunate to be the coach of the side with great players.
“I have the good fortune to be at this great club with these players, who have fought to achieve a beautiful thing following the confinement.
“It’s huge. It’s a constant battle. There are 38 games, and only at the end can you achieve something great like today. I’m extremely thankful to the players, first and foremost, because they’re the ones fighting out on the pitch. I have my role and I’m with them, but it’s a team effort. This is a huge achievement, it’s incredibly emotional. It’s very tough to win the Spanish league, very tough indeed”.
Speaking on the criticism of the way the team won the league, Zidane said everyone is entitled to their opinion, especially against the club.
“That doesn’t make me any more or less happy. When there is criticism, all I can do is try and do my job. I’m passionate and I have the good fortune to be at this great club with these players, who are ultimately the ones who have fought to achieve a beautiful thing following the confinement. It’s 10 wins from 10 games, it’s tremendous”.
The extremely happy Zidane said his first La Liga trophy experience as a player was wonderful, but this one has a special taste to it after two months break.
“Then we came back and we prepared in a different fashion, winning a league title which, I think, is always the hardest. We did it, it’s everyone’s success because this is a team and all the sacrifice has paid off”.
