Spurs striker Harry Kane has said he has no problem with coach Jose Mourinho’s style of football, as he aims to reach the 200-goal mark in the English Premier League.

If the English striker stays within the division, he could end up becoming the third player to reach 200 Premier League goals after scoring in the 2-0 victory over West Ham at the Tottenham Stadium on Tuesday. The win pushes Spur’s aim of securing a Champions League football as they currently occupy the 6th position on the log, six points behind Chelsea that is currently occupying the last qualifying slot.

Kane, who netted his 137th league goal for Spurs in his 200th appearance for the club on Tuesday night, is being trailed by the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Inter Milan Real Madrid, and Barcelona. This statement, however, means that the skipper won’t be leaving the Premier League soon at until he fulfills his ambition, which is following the path of former Newcastle striker, Alan Shearer, and Manchester United forward, Wayne Rooney. They are the only to players that had achieved the feat in the top league.

The striker who stated that scoring is the best feeling in the world said at age 26; he is hoping to get to that 200 marks sooner rather than later.

Speaking with Sky Sports, Kane noted that it was so quick for him to have played 200 games at the highest level, had last found the back of the net in December, before picking up a thigh injury that ruled him out for six months. He had been initially ruled out of the season, but all thanks to the coronavirus holiday. The Englishman has now scored 12 goals this season.

Also speaking after the match, Mourinho expressed his happiness for the striker, adding that there will be better headlines and a better feeling for him after working hard.

The only player that has a better goal ratio than Kane is Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, who scored 138 goals in the same number of games.

Kane, however, has a better goal rate than Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. The former France international scored 131 in his first 200 league games for the Gunners.

He is now the 11th outfield player to reach 200 Premier League appearances for Spurs.
