The former Manchester United forward has been on spotlights of some clubs in the Middle East after his contract termination at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo and Manchester locked horns in a bitter faceoff following the controversial interview he granted with Piers Morgan, his friend and veteran journalist.

After the 13 times Premier League champions confirm the decision to terminate his contract, following the interview, Cristiano Ronaldo, who was in Qatar for World Cup, issued a statement on his social media handle agreeing to the contract termination and wished the Red Devils success and also reiterated his love for Man United fans.

Apparently, Cristiano Ronaldo knew that he might likely be asked to leave the club after the explosive interview.

Ronaldo had always reiterated his interest to return to the UEFA Champions League and would have effectively seized opportunities from top clubs in Europe.

However, with no concrete interest from some of the top European clubs, Ronaldo had two Saudi Arabian giants at his beck – Al Hilal and Al Nassr.

Both clubs are said to be among the most successful in the Saudi Arabian league, and were interested in the Manchester United legend.

Speculations hinted at whether Ronaldo would accept these offers after he confirmed he had turned down a £305million offer from a Saudi club in his controversial interview.

He has been bent on playing in the Champions League again, and was expecting offers from some top European clubs.

Ronaldo was linked to Bayern Munich recently, but Bayern Munich have come out to debunk the rumors.

Ronaldo also had authentic interests with mega offers from clubs in the Middle East, but was reportedly reluctant to sign a new deal in hurry during the ongoing World Cup.

However, according to MARCA, it has been confirmed that Ronaldo has agreed to a record-breaking contract to one of the Saudi giants – Al Nassr.

The deal, which is said to be a two-year-deal is reportedly worth a whooping £172.9million-a-year.

The deal will see him play in the Saudi Arabian league till the age of 40. Meanwhile, sources close to the Portugal all-time highest goal-scorer have asserted that he is focused on the World Cup and has not signed any deal with any club.

While Ronaldo’s representatives have attempted to counter the news of the new deal with Al Nassr, reports in Spain, as confirmed by MARCA shows that Ronaldo has indeed agree to a “dizzying figures” deal with Al Nassr.

Records have shown that Al-Nassr are one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, having been crowned winners of the country’s top flight nine times, with their most recent triumph coming in 2019.

In 2020 and 2021, they failed to win the Saudi Arabian league but won the Saudi Super Cup.

However, as at the time of filing this report, Ronaldo is yet to confirm the new development on his football career.

As things stand, Ronaldo is currently in the twilight of his football career and may soon leave the stage after a spell in the Saudi Arabian league.

He is currently 37 years and the two-year deal will now see him play until he turned almost 40 years of age.
