He was rearrested on Saturday, 15 October, for allegedly breaching bail conditions.
A police report confirms that Mason Greenwood was whisked away by the police from his £15,000 monthly rented apartment after he breached his bail condition by making contact with his alleged victim.
There were reports that Mason Greenwood may likely return to Old Trafford after he was spotted outside custody maintaining a low-key presence.
However, the rumors of an imminent return was shattered after the arrest.
Maso Greenwood was spotted on Manchester United’s official website, also fueling the rumors of his imminent return to football nearing nine months after his legal battle with Harriet Robson began.
However, after his rearrest, Manchester United confirmed their position, stating categorically that Mason Greenwood is not expected to return to the team pending an investigation by the Police into the allegations brought against him.
As of the time of filing this report, Mason Greenwood has arrived at the Greater Manchester Magistrate court for a case hearing.
He was driven in a van into the court premises and was supported by his family as he entered the court for the hearing.
His family sat in the public gallery while Greenwood was pictured wearing a grey hoodie and joggers, and a white t-shirt.
Greenwood’s alleged victim was also spotted in the court being flagged and supported by her Pal.
The case was adjourned after Greenwood had confirmed his name, date of birth, and address.
Mason Greenwood is charged with a series of offenses allegedly committed between November 1, 2018, and October 15, 2022.
Greenwood’s alleged offense includes derogatory comments on social media.
He is also charged with four years of controlling and coercive behavior, including attempted rape on October 12, 2021.
Greenwood is also indicted for assaultive behavior, which occurred on December 12 and December 21, 2021, respectively.
If convicted, Mason Greenwood faces possible life imprisonment, which will spell doom for his budding football career.
Greenwood’s booming career is at a crossroads at the moment.
He has lost sponsorship deals, and some of his teammates have unfollowed him on social media since he came under Police scrutiny and arrest for the alleged misconduct.
