Rio Ferdinand has pleaded with Kylian Mbappe to contact him in an effort to persuade him to sign with Manchester United in January.

Ferdinand’s plead came after rumours that the striker, despite signing a lucrative new contract earlier this year, is dissatisfied at Paris Saint-Germain and wants to leave in January.

In 13 games this season, the 23-year-old has scored 12 goals, leading a star-studded squad that includes Lionel Messi and Neymar. Before agreeing to a new three-year contract in May, he had frequently been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid.

Recent reports indicate that Mbappe believes some of the commitments he made when signing the new contract have been broken, and his friendship with Neymar is alleged to have soured because of rumors that the Brazilian wanted PSG to sell him in the summer.

The striker was apparently the subject of an offer from Liverpool earlier this year, although Madrid was always the favorite to sign the Frenchman. Ferdinand, however, is attempting to sabotage any potential trade by persuading him to join United.

After the two were featured in a Between The Lines broadcast for BT Sport in March, he wrote a message to Mbappe pleading for the superstar to get in touch. As he tweeted:  “WhatsApp me bro @KMbappe,” before posting a clip, which began: “Kylian, we talk a lot.”

“Just come to me. Speak to me. I’ll do this for you man. Just come to me, we’ll do a one-to-one. We spoke last time on Between the Lines and you know what, you spoke perfect English.”

“It was great. We can get this done. Get back to playing football. One of the best players in the world, man. We want to see that, that’s what we want to see.”

Rio Ferdinand Warns Mbappe

In response to allegations that Kylian Mbappe feels “betrayed” at Paris Saint-Germain, Rio Ferdinand has warned the French superstar that no player is bigger than his club.

The former Manchester United star is perplexed as to why Mbappe isn’t happy playing in a “dream” team with Lionel Messi and Neymar and used a story about Wayne Rooney to teach him a lesson about being a team player.

Mbappe’s relationship with PSG has reportedly entirely fallen apart, according to numerous sources in European football. The player feels that the team has breached its commitments to him, and he is now looking to depart during the January transfer window.

If it’s just about the money, a transfer to Manchester City or even Saudi Arabia’s Newcastle United might be more feasible, but it’s more likely that Mbappe will end up signing with Real Madrid if he moves anywhere, despite claims from the Ligue 1 champions that they do not want to sell him to Los Blancos.

Why Does Kylian Mbappe Wants To Leave PSG?

PSG allegedly promised Mbappe when he signed a new contract earlier this year that they would sign a new No. 9 to provide him the same kind of freedom in the wide spaces he enjoys for the France national team, which is one of the reasons he reportedly feels “betrayed.”

Not everything has gone as planned for Kylian Mbappe since he rejected Real Madrid’s offer and extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain back in May.

The Frenchman appears disappointed on the field, and his statistics are not as impressive as they were the previous year, when he was the star of PSG before Neymar and Lionel Messi.

The main source of the ego conflict between Neymar and Mbappe has been over who will be the team’s penalty taker.

The Frenchman missed from the spot in the 5-2 hammering of Montpellier, but PSG was given another penalty. Neymar scored the second goal, declining to allow Mbappe to take it after affording Messi the chance to do so.

Coach Christophe Galtier did not identify the first-choice taker during the post-game press conference.

Meanwhile, Mbappe had urged PSG to fire Neymar, believing that the Brazil international was a burden on the entire squad.

Due to this, PSG unsuccessfully sought buyers. Neymar has gotten right to work this season after realizing he had to perform well to stay at the club.
