The English Football Association is investigating a furious on-field confrontation between Arsenal and Liverpool players during Sunday’s Premier League clash.

Arsenal and Liverpool Players quarreled following referee Michael Oliver’s ruling to award Gunners a die-minute penalty, which Bukayo Saka converted to give his side a 3-2 victory.

Whereas, resentments continued to fray after the penalty as the match continues, leading to referee Oliver running over to the touchline to speak to both rival managers Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp.

It is believed that provocative words were traded between Arsenal and Liverpool players as outrages were frayed with Arsenal being awarded a late penalty which caused Oliver to go over to the touchline to inform both managers that one of the players was alleged to have said something to offend an opponent.

Several players from both teams were involved in the tough argument, with Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes and Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson flaring up to one another, while another Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka hurriedly appeared on the scene to support his teammate.
