Bruno Lage has become the third Premier League manager to be shown the exit door after a run of poor and disappointing results with the club.

Confirming the decision to dismiss Bruno Lag from his job, Wolves chairman Jeff Shi maintained that although the decision to sack Bruno Lage is a difficult and a sad one, it is a necessary step given the team’s poor performance so far this season.

Commending his character and personality since taking as Wolves’ manager, Jeff Shi dropped the bombshell.

“Bruno is an excellent coach, a hardworking and dedicated manager, and a warm, wise and honest man.

“He and his staff have been a pleasure to work with throughout their time at Wolves, so it is with much sadness that we have had to make what has been a difficult decision.

Wolves confirmed that experienced coaches Steve Davis and James Collins will temporarily take charge of the team and prepare them for the trip to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.

After 8 matches this season, Wolvs has been far from being convincing; they have lost 4 matches, drew three and win only one.

The team currently sits in the 18th position, leading the relegation zone with just 6 points, despite spending over £100m in last summer’s transfer window.
