Xabi Alonso refuses Bayern Munich job due to inexperience

Xabi Alonso rules himself out of the run to be the next Bayern Munich head coach because he does not have enough experience.

The former Spain midfielder finished his playing career at Bayern with a span between 2014 and 2017. And he is currently in charge of Real Sociedad B.

Though the place of a manager is vacant following the dismissal of Niko Kovac. but Alonso believes that he is still immature to be a candidate for Bayern despite his affiliation with the club.

The former Liverpool attacker insists he is a beginner and would not trouble himself with higher task. But can not predict the future if he will reconsider his return to Allianz Stadium.

Hansi Flick is currently in charge of the Bavarians on an interim basis after Kovac exit in early November due to his poor results.

Alonso insists that he’s still in the early stage of his management career and cannot take a bigger risk

And the 38-year-old Alonso won LaLiga and the Champions League during five seasons at Real Madrid. He had his best time as a footballer in Liverpool and Real Madrid.

He had 143 appearances and 15 goals at Anfield while appearing in 148 games with hitting just 5 at Bernabeu. He then spent his last career moment as a player with the Bundesliga champions Bayern appearing 75 times with 5 goals.

Munich will trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the last 16 of the Champions League according to Monday’s draw in Nyon. Which has led to many comments whether it will be revenge or recap of the past?

The Spaniard, however, acknowledges the effort of his fellow Real Madrid teammate, Zinedine Zidane. Who kicked-off the season in a poor way but now behind the leaders Barcelona on goal difference. and is happy with his results.
