Newly appointed Paris Saint-Germain manager Christopher Galtier has acknowledged that, despite his desire to keep Brazilian superstar Neymar on board, the final decision is not solely in his control.
The new manager of the Ligue 1 winners would like to have the Brazilian on board, even though he is aware that the player might want to leave nevertheless.
The Ligue 1 giants’ previous manager, Mauricio Pochettino, who left this summer after working there for 1.5 years, was recently replaced by the Frenchman. The Brazilian’s future will be decided by the club, according to the former Nice head coach.
Speaking during an interview with L’Equipe, the French tactician said: “Yes, I was clear”, when he was asked whether Neymar would stay at the club beyond this summer.
“Afterward, I repeat, in this area, there are many things that I cannot control”, he added.
Christopher Galtier also said that he’s currently working to reduce the number of players on the team because they have a lot of them right now.
According to the French coach, he revealed that Paris Saint-Germain has up to 26 to 27 players apart from the goalkeeper and he added that that’s a huge number for the team.
Some players may join them and creating spaces for them is necessary and the exercise is currently going on. Paris Saint-Germain has one of the best teams in Europe which includes Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe, and Sergio Ramos.

The former OGC Nice head coach acknowledged that the club would respect some players because of their quality and importance to the club but they plan on starting next season with just 21 outfield players and a few young players.
He claimed that the big clubs are usually those that know how to manage and use the best young players in an experienced and quality workforce.
French national team and PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe is another star who could leave the club this summer.
Presnel Kimpembe is currently a top transfer target for English Premier League giants Chelsea and the Blues are getting ready to bid for him next week. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is currently working to strengthen his back four after the departure of Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid and Andreas Christensen to Barcelona.
Christopher Galtier has also reacted to the recent transfer rumors and said that he has read everything that’s been said about Presnel Kimpembe. According to him, the team laughed about it together as he revealed that he loves Kimpembe but anything can happen in football.
