Paul Pogba is set to join Juventus after the club already signed Angel Di Maria from Paris Saint-Germain for free.
The agreement with Di Maria follows one reached with Paul Pogba last month. Pogba is scheduled to complete his return to the club after leaving Manchester United on Saturday in Turin.
Di Maria left PSG after 7 seasons in which he appeared in 295 games and scored 92 goals. Manchester United and Real Madrid are two of the Argentinean international’s former teams. Di Maria spent just one season at Old Trafford, which coincided with Pogba’s initial stint at Juventus.
Last season, Milan, the defending Serie A winners, finished ahead of Juventus by 16 points. Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have an agreement in place for the Swede to stay in Milan for the upcoming campaign.
The forward, who will turn 41 in October, is recuperating from a knee injury and might not play again in 2022. He consented to a pay decrease to extend his stay at AC Milan.
On the other hand, Juventus had a busy weekend with lots of new hires. Angel Di Maria arrived in Turin early on Thursday morning to sign his new contract with the “Bianconeri,” where he was met by a large contingent of fans.
The arrival of Paul Pogba is still scheduled for the Italian city, so the Argentinian is not the only newcomer. The French midfielder, who spent six seasons with Manchester United, will re-join the “Vecchia Signora.” Like the Argentine, the Frenchman departed as a free agent.
In a video in which he showed when he was flying in his private plane, Pogba wrote: “See you soon”. Another top-notch addition like Pogba will help Allegri’s squad compete for the “Scudetto” once more.
Young Pogba was signed by Juventus after progressing from Manchester United’s youth team. He became an instant success in Serie A.
In the summer of 2016, the Old Trafford team renewed their interest in him due to his versatility and physique. He returned to Old Trafford for a then-record transfer fee.
Paul Pogba and Di Maria’s contract deal
If he joins Juventus, Paul Pogba will earn about $8 million annually, which is less than half of what he made at Manchester United. It is the most the Italian club has to offer.
Pogba asked Man Utd for a salary of €20 million per year. The club made a $14 million offer. The player believed Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG were interested in signing him for free. No offers came in. Juventus’ €8 million per year contract had to be accepted to continue with his professional football career.
The Argentine, though, had already been revealed in Italy. In a brief message posted to social media, Juventus stated that Angel Di Maria was a member of the team.
The Juve winger from Argentina signed a one-year contract with an estimated $7.14 million in compensation, according to reports.
What will they offer the team?
Juventus will play Champions League football again this season after squeaking into the top four once more in a thrilling Serie A finale, joining Italian rivals AC Milan, Inter, and Napoli in the running for Europe’s premier championship.
Paul Pogba, a man with a purpose, is returning to Juventus from Manchester United.
After a disastrous six-year stint in the Premier League, Pogba is returning to Turin. He was once thought to be a player that could rub shoulders with greats like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo but it was not to be.
However, one of the key players in France’s 2018 World Cup victory was Pogba. He had enough confidence in himself to pass up the opportunity to test himself at Manchester United in favor of Juventus, where he brought the team to the 2015 Champions League final and put them on the path to a decade of domestic supremacy.
Few footballers in the world are more inventive, captivating, or great than Pogba when he is at his best.
He possesses all the necessary skills, including flawless technique, range, touch, vision, and passing range. He also has a sluggish but powerful frame. He is the model of the contemporary footballer.
Gianluigi Buffon, a Juventus icon, thinks that if Angel Di Maria joined Juventus, he would be just as excellent as Diego Maradona.
After seven seasons with the French Ligue 1 winners with his contract expiring this summer, Di Maria left Paris Saint-Germain.
Footballers need to be evaluated in light of the environment in which they compete. Serie A is less technically sophisticated today, and Angel is so skilled.
Di Maria dribbles past his opponents with such ease, and he is decisive in front of goal. He goes up and down the field and is skilled at providing assists.
Turin will benefit greatly from the addition of these players to the Juventus squad for the 2022–2023 Serie A season because both Di Maria and Pogba have established themselves on several occasions. Who knows, their arrivals could make Juventus dream of a Champions League title once again.
