Pitch invaders who stopped the 2024 Champions League final were paid a whopping £300,000 by a controversial Russian streamer named Mellstroy.
In the 28th second of the game, the pitch was invaded by three different individuals. The security spent time chasing the invaders before they were finally pinned down and taken away.
The Three Invaders wore a t-shirt with the inscription “Mellstroy” at the front and back. Before the game, Mellstroy reportedly offered the fans £300,000 to storm the pitch wearing his name on their clothing.
However, it has not yet been confirmed whether they will have the bag of £300,000 each or whether the money will be shared among them. The three invaders are expected to face a life ban from the Wembley Stadium after they get arrested.
The pitch invasion came a few minutes after it was reported that a total of 50 troublemakers among the fans were arrested due to the clash with the England Police.
The trouble appeared a minute after the stadium was beefed up with 2,500 security stewards. It was the largest security stewards Wembley had seen since the stadium had been hosting Cup finals.
Despite the fact that the English FA spent £5 million on security, they were not able to stop the stadium breach from occurring.
During the pre-match preparation, there were rings of steel involving a lot of security stewards and enhanced ticket checks to avoid any issues related to breaches or unlawful behavior around the pitch.
Another shocking piece of footage showed fans who illegally jumped over the Wembley fence and proceeded to bring down the Ticket Stall before the commencement of the game.
Real Madrid won the UEFA Champions League for the 15th time in the club’s history after defeating Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley. Late goals from Vinicius Jr. and Dani Carvajal were enough to secure the win against Borussia Dortmund.
