2024-25 EFL Cup Quarterfinal Fixtures
The draws for the last eight of the 2024-25 EFL Cup have been confirmed.
Liverpool have been handed a relatively easy tie against Southampton. The Reds will travel to St Mary’s for the cracker.
Arsenal, who smashed Preston 3-0 away from home in the round of 16, will take on Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium.
Newcastle United will host Brentford in another cracker to watch out for and the biggest fixture is Manchester United against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Red Devils will travel to Tottenham Hotspur stadium to battle the giant slayers for a place in the last four of the competition.
The full fixtures are as follows;
Tottenham Vs Manchester United
Newcastle United Vs Brentford
Southampton Vs Liverpool
Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace
Tottenham Hotspur Vs Manchester United
Manchester United will head into this game with mixed fortunes. The Red Devils haven’t been impressive this season, drawing all their three Europa League matches and losing four of their first nine Premier League matches.
However, they still have time to get back to form before the fixture. They have won 25 of their last 45 matches against Spurs but have lost the bragging rights to the London outfit recently.
Their last meeting ended in a shock 3-0 defeat at home and they will hope to avenge the loss in December.
Newcastle United Vs Brentford
This will be a tricky tie for Thomas Frank’s Brentford. The Bees have only won one of their last nine meetings against Newcastle United, losing five and drawing three.
All the five defeats have been in their last five meetings. Thomas Frank will face a huge task turning around the tides at St James Park.
Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace
Arsenal are overwhelming favourites to win this tie. Crystal Palace have only managed three wins in their last 22 meetings with Arsenal and the Arteta-led side have won all their three last meetings against the Eagles.
Southampton Vs Liverpool
High-flying Arne Slot’s Liverpool are likely to ease last Southampton to the next round of the competition.
The Reds have been in top form this season while Southampton are battling to survive relegation with a winless run in the Premier League.
They had lost five of their last six meetings with the Reds and have only managed six wins in their last 26 matches.
