The wives and girlfriends of Belgium national team players have been given permission to visit the players as the 2022 World Cup kicks off.
Belgium national team players may be counted lucky among other national teams after it was confirmed that their wives and girlfriends will be allowed to visit them once midway into the 2022 World Cup.
The 2022 World Cup kicks off on November 21, with national teams’ making preparations against the tournament.
The FAs and other administrative bodies of national team are tirelessly making efforts to settle logistics and attendant issues for their national teams ahead of the tournament.
Part of the plan is the restrictions and bans placed on some national team players from traveling to the 2022 World Cup with their wives and girlfriends by some FAs.
Meanwhile, Belgium stars have been allowed to spend one night with their stunning Wags at Qatar World Cup before their second Group F match against Croatia.
The team will be locked away at a hotel in Qatar as they get ready to battle for the World’s most coveted football trophy.
The players’ families and partners will be able to visit them for a night on November 27 before they get ready to play their final group match which comes up against Croatia on December 1.
According to reports, the plan to allow the players’ families and partners to visit the team has been approved by the national team and former Wigan and Everton manager Roberto Martinez.
This contrasted with the former coach of the team Marc Wilmot, who kicked against attempts to allow visits from families and partners during tournaments.
A 26-man squad for the Belgium national team will be announced on November 11, with the likes of Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne and Real Madrid star expected to make the squad.
The families’ invite will reportedly benefit Leicester quartet Youri Tielemans, Wout Faes, Timothy Castagne and Dennis Praet, Manchester City talisman Kevin de Bruyne, and Brighton ace Leandro Trossard.
Meanwhile, the decision has reportedly been welcomed by top stars in the squad.
Team captain and Real Madrid star Eden Hazard and fellow ex-Premier League players Thibaut Courtois, Michy Batshuayi, Simon Mignolet, and Toby Alderweireld are all favorably disposed to the decision.

Despite granting permission to allow a day visit, the Belgium FA have, however, maintained that they will not cater for flights for the wags.
A plane will be chartered only for the players, meaning that a wag that wants to utilize the November 27 visit window will have to first foot the bills of traveling to Qatar for the the tournament.
Belgium FA’s decision has contrasted with the Danish FA’s who made headlines after they banned the wags and families of their national team players from visiting the players.
On the other hand, England’s Wags are poised to be out in force at the World Cup tournament.
