Indications have shown that AC Milan striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic intends to sign a new deal with the club.
Ibrahimovic returned to the club during the winter window as a free agent. Since rejoining the club in January, he has been a huge figure in the dressing room. Milan returned to Europe after finishing the 6th on the log of the Italian Serie A.
At 39, the Swede proved that he is not done, banging in fours goals in two Serie A matches. His recent exploit was against City rivals, Inter Milan. His brace was enough to secure a 2-1 win for his team, maintaining their 100 percent record in the Italian top flight. His involvement in the team has even made some people count Milan as Serie A contender.

His performance was a contrast to what many expected of someone who has been in isolation after contracting COVID-19, forcing him out of action for almost a month.
His goals also ended Milan’s four-year drought in the Milan derby.
Agent preparing paper works
According to reports, his agent Mino Raiola has reportedly started planning for new contract talks to extend his stay in Milan. He had in August signed a year extension.
Corriere della Sera reports that Ibra, as he fondly called targets another season in Milan, making the agent begin drawing out the plan.
Although, Milan is not expected to make any decision on that yet, having recently signed an extended contract. A decision could therefore be made during the spring. But with Ibrahimovic, anything can happen as he seems set to push for a new contract at San Siro.
Can the Influence of Ibrahimovic be enough to win Scudetto for AC Milan?
Having won the Italian Serie 18 times AC Milan is not a stranger to success in the top flight. But the club looked to have made some smart investment in bringing young and creative lads into the sqaud.
With five Coppa Italia five and seven Supercoppa Italiana already in their cabinet, Milan will be excited to be among the contenders for the Scudetto with the aim of breaking the monopoly of Juventus, who has won it nine straight times.
But the question one needs to ask is if Milan has the required depth in the squad to achieve that? That’s doubtable if some players start sustaining injuries and fatigue due to their European engagement.
But anything they say is possible in football, With the addition of Diogo Dalot, Ante Rebic, Brahim Diaz, Sandro Tonalli, Alexis Alexis, can it be said that Stefano Pioli has the right mix to save him in the days of trouble? Time will tell.
