The possibility of seeing Zidane in the dugout once again has received a lot of attention prior to the commencement of this season.

In May 2021, Zidane resigned as the head coach of Real Madrid for a second time, claiming that he felt there was a gulf between the club’s board and himself.

The 50-year-old, however, is now prepared to return for another managerial spell after announcing at a statue presentation on Monday evening at the Grévin museum in Paris that he plans to take up a new post soon.

In an interview with RMC Sport at the Grevin Museum in Paris, Zidane slyly hinted that he would soon return to management. He promised to return soon. “Wait a moment, please. Very soon. I’ll soon start coaching once more”, he was quoted as saying.

    Zidane with the Champions League

Spain’s Real Madrid became the first team to ever win the prestigious championship three times in a row under Zidane’s leadership from 2015 to 2018.

During Real Madrid’s era of dominance in Europe, Zidane won an incredible three Champions League championships in a row. Since then, no coach nor club has been able to attempt such a feat.

He came back to the team for a second stint, although he failed to win any European championships. Before departing the club after losing the league title to Atletico’s cross-city rivals, he received two world’s best coaching awards for his accomplishments during his tenure in the Spanish capital.

After Mauricio Pochettino was fired in the summer, the French legend was expected to take over at Paris Saint-Germain, but he chose to stay out of coaching instead, as Christophe Galtier filled the vacancy at PSG.

Zidane was also anticipated to compete for the position of France’s national team manager, as the renowned midfielder sought the chance to become the first player and manager to ever lead his nation to a World Cup victory.

However, Didier Deschamps was retained as the team’s head coach and will take the defending World Cup champions France to Qatar next month.

Recent remarks by Zidane may indicate that he is preparing for the role that will follow the conclusion of the winter competition.

The major clubs in Europe don’t currently have any open managerial roles that may draw Zidane.

After winning the Champions League and La Liga last season, Real Madrid is pleased with Carlo Ancelotti, but PSG is still staunchly behind Galtier.

Before Erik ten Hag was hired by Man United, Zidane had been mentioned as a potential candidate.

    What next for Zinedine Zidane?

The message’s obscurity leaves a lot to be desired. Zinedine Zidane might soon become the manager of a club team all things being equal. perhaps Juventus, his previous team might be Zidane’s next destination.

Or, given that Didier Deschamps’ contract with France will expire after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, will Zidane leap into international management? Only time will tell at this point.
